Meet the Instructors at Maverick Motorcycle Training
From a young age Mike always had a passion for motorbikes and rode a 50 cc bike whilst attending College in Bolton. He joined the Army in 1986 and went on to pass his full Motorcycle Test two years later whilst serving with the Royal Military Police. He completed his Instructor Course in 1996 and following initial Instructor Training went on to become a Police Trained Motorcyclist and Advanced Instructor.
He continued to train both military and civilians riders in various motorcycling roles riding motorcycles all over the world as well as training and working with many specialist riders including VIP route clearances and escorts. Mike established Maverick Motorcycle Training in 2001 and over the years the Company has gained a reputation for providing high quality training on what is probably the largest training area in the South West. As well as motorcycle training Mike also conducts Battlefield Tours in Normandy and motorcycle tours to the Lake District and Scotland which can include Advanced Training as part of the package if required.
Mike believes that to train with him and his handpicked. professional and dedicated instructors will be the beginning of a lifetime of safe motorcycling and some great adventures. We look forward to meeting you.
I first met Mike from Maverick in 2005. I completed my CBT with him and then went on to complete my full Direct Access Course. I had always enjoyed a variety of adventure sport’s including flying and skydiving but my time with Maverick was one of the most enjoyable, exciting and fun.
Following my basic Training I completed an Advanced Motorcycle Course, several ride outs and a couple of the tours again with Mike. In September 2009 I final reached my goal and Trained as a Motorcycle Instructor.
Your training at Maverick is just the start of your motorcycling career, enjoy your Training and see you soon.
