Performance Rider Training

Your course will begin at Crescent Suzuki Performance Centre at Verwood. This is the home of Rizla Suzuki BSB and Moto GP race teams and is a truly great motorcycling environment in which to start your course. You may even get to see some of the current team!

The basis of any course will be determined on an initial road ride in order to determine your level of riding. This will enable us to ensure that your course is tailored to your style of riding.

You will then receive a presentation on various sections of the System of Rider Training at the Verwood HQ. This will be followed by road riding to our off road training area in nearby Blandford for some low speed manoeuvring, counter steering and advanced braking exercises.

Returning to the road will include demonstration rides by the instructor along with Police style commentary riding. Roadside debriefing and the use of on board cameras will all ensure that you gain the maximum from your road time. The tuition will be both exiting and hard work along with a great deal of fun – an experience which will totally transform your riding.

The training includes instruction on all aspects of advanced motorcycling, including how to read and gain information on the road ahead. The correct position and speed on bends, overtaking techniques, wet weather riding (optional), night riding (long course) and finally, making good safe progress. On completion of your course you will receive a Certificate which will reduce your insurance, along with a report grading you on your standard of riding. Part of the Enhanced Rider Scheme.

An Advanced Training Course

With a Difference!

Being aimed directly at the sports bike rider of today, Mike Nelson, course designer and instructor, ensures the training is tailored to suit an individual’s needs.

Caution! No previous Advanced Training is necessary to enrol on this course

The course is designed to be 90% practical with the majority of the training taking place on the open road. The instruction is one-to-one, allowing you to receive maximum benefit. However, if you wish to train with a partner or friends, then providing you are of a similar level and experience, with a comparable motorcycle, this will also be possible.
